Install linux on a qstick
You can actually reinstall linux mint on your stick and get it setup rather easily, heres how
First download the latest version of Linux mint cinnamon edition here Download Linux Mint 22.1 - Linux Mint
You will then have an ISO file, which well need to image to a usb drive, Grab a minimum of an 8gb flash drive and attach it.
You can use Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way to image the Iso to the Usb drive
Once this is done, simply pop in the usb drive to the qstick and restart it.
To get it to boot from the drive, repeatedly hit delete during startup until you get to the bios, go to the exit tab and select the uefi usb drive to boot from.
Then simply go through the installer for Linux mint.
Once installed reboot and open up firefox
type about:config in the browsers url bar, and search “homepage”
Set browser.startup.homepage to the server and app required (https://kiosk.xxx.qless.com) or (https://monitor.xxx.qless.com)
Search “resume” and set browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to false
Restart firefox and login to the qless app.
Now well set firefox to launch in kiosk mode on restart.
go to the “start” menu (bottom left) and search startup applications
Add firefox as a startup application
edit the properties, append -kiosk to the launch parameters and set the delay to 90 seconds
Now just restart the device, it should boot up and everything should be good to go
