Default Qstick firefox profile settings

IF your qstick is randomly saying its crashed or is showing a different page then the normal qless monitor, follow the instructions below to ensure that the Firefox settings are correct

You will need the following

  1. A USB Keyboard and Mouse

  2. Internet connection

  3. Monitor or television

  1. First, we need to get Firefox into a manageable mode, by default it is full-screen and locked. Using the keyboard hit “CTRL+ALT+T” to open a terminal window

  2. Now type “killall firefox” without the Quotes to kill the current firefox session, you should now be sitting at the linux mint desktop

  3. Type “firefox -safe-mode” into the terminal without quotes and hit enter, you should get a prompt to start in safe mode, go ahead and do so (do not refresh)

  4. now with the browser open, navigate to about:config in the url bar.

  5. You will get a warning, go ahead and continue

  6. Now search “resume”

  7. Set browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to False

  8. Now Search “Homepage”

  9. Set browser.startup.homepage_override.buildID to ignore

This should be all you need to get those errors to stop.
