There are two There are three ways that staff can be notified when a customer enters a queue. Both of these options are off by default:

1) An audible doorbell sound - An audible alert will ring in CEC at the user level whenever someone joins this queue if this is enabled. This works well for slow queues or times when the staff aren't able to see people enter the area.  Keep in mind , that if your queue is relatively busy, you probably don't want to enable this.  This alerts them in QM or CEC.2. This is enabled by QLess support.

2) Desktop Notification - When a customer enters a queue, this will push a desktop notification to your computer if you are on another window (CEC is not your current main window).
To enable, go to the drop-down on the top right corner where your name is and go to "Settings".

You can either enable notifications for all queues (highlighted below) or specify which queue(s) to get notifications for by checking the boxes next to the queue(s) you want (marked in red).

...

3) Email - If this feature is enabled, staff marked as "Resource Admin" in their user permissions will receive an email if customers enter an empty queue. If there are other customers in the queue when new ones enter, the email will not be triggered. This is enabled by QLess support (the feature is called notifyOnQueueActivity)

If you would like to have either of these features enabled, please file a support ticket to tell us which locations and queues queue(s) to which you would like them to be applied.  The feature is called notifyOnQueueActivity
